USM-Indonesia Receives Academic Visit from Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore
USM-Indonesia | Universitas Sari Mutiara Indonesia received a Visiting Academic delegation from Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore at the LPMI Hall, USM-Indonesia, on Monday (November 4, 2024).
Present at the event were Dr. Parlindungan Purba, SH, MM, Chairman of the Sari Mutiara Medan Foundation; Ns. Janno Sinaga, M.Kep, Sp.KMB, Vice Rector I; Ns. Johansen Hutajulu, AP, S.Kep, M.Kep, Ph.D, Vice Rector III; Rinawati Sembiring, SST, M.Kes, Ph.D, Vice Rector IV; Yunida Turisna Octavia, SKM., S.Kep., Ns. M.KM, Head of CDAC; Ns. Rinco Siregar, S.Kep., MNS, Ph.D, Head of the International Affairs Office; Deans, Heads of Departments; Lecturers, and students from the D3 Medical Electronics Technology, S1 Chemistry, S1 Information Systems, S1 Library and Information Science, and S1 Communication Programs. Also present were Lee Chong Jin Simon, Lim Meilin Phoebe (Lecturer), and 29 students from Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore.
The meeting continued with introductions, Ice Breaking led by USM-Indonesia students, and a cultural dance performance from North Sumatra, Indonesia, featuring traditional dances from Simalungun, Nias, Batak, and Malay, each showcasing unique movements and stories passed down through generations. During the Student Discussion Session, USM-Indonesia students and Temasek Polytechnic students exchanged and shared their experiences in university life, guided by USM-Indonesia lecturers.
The event ended with remarks from students of Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore, souvenir presentations by the Chairman of the Sari Mutiara Medan Foundation, followed by a group photo session.
